U of T boasts one of the largest intramural programs in Canada, with well over 9,000 students participating every year.

The most popular co-curricular offering at U of T, intramural sport is a significant part of campus life for thousands of students. Encompassing 24 sports and 55 divisions, the program will run more than 1,900 games in 2006-2007.  Demand for additional teams has reached record heights, with more than 300 teams on the waiting list.

The Varsity Centre allows intramurals to expand significantly, creating much-needed space to accommodate many new teams – particularly indoor soccer, which makes up one-third of the waiting list.
