The Planning Process
The Project Planning Committee – which had broad representation from University leadership, student governments, the Council of Athletics and Recreation, and alumni– began meeting regularly in November 2004 and, in early 2005, sought input from the broader community in a series of public forums. After an extensive consultative process, the plan was approved by U of T Governing Council on June 29, 2005. The final plans for Phase II, which includes the multi-storey Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport, received Governing Council Approval on June 25, 2007.
