Ellerbe Becket

Ellerbe Becket ranked as one of the top 20 architectural and engineering firms in the United States in the 2004 Building Design & Construction survey and second in the world in sports facility design in the 2004 World Architecture survey.

Paul Griesemer, Senior Project Architect, is responsible for the design and detailing of the Varsity Centre’s stadium seating and media gondola. He is an internationally recognized leader in sports design, having dedicated himself to pioneering the development of quality sports facilities specifically focused on football stadia and training facilities.

With more than 20 years of experience practicing architecture, Paul’s experience spans stadia, convention facilities, Olympic venues and multi-purpose facilities including recreation and training. He has led the facility design efforts for twelve NFL franchises, many as repeat clients. In addition to his role on the Varsity Centre, Paul is leading the design of the Louisiana Superdome renovation. Additional experience includes the expansion and renovation of Lambeau Field in Green Bay and improvements to FedEx Field in Washington, D.C. His collegiate stadium work includes renovations of Autzen Stadium (University of Oregon) and Jones SBC Stadium (Texas Tech University).
